Moving Mountains of Courage! Be Courageous!

As this is the last week before ending this six week challenge; I wanted to leave everyone reading with something that has always carried me through all the arduous moments in my life. Courage!

Before any real lasting change in life it takes courage to decide whether or not to commit to real lasting change. This is the kind of change that takes commitment, and courage. For example, lets talk about the courage it takes to forgive ourselves for eating too much chocolate cake one day, and mess up, cheat, splurge. It happens to all of us!

This is the type of thing that I am talking about. In order to create lasting change we must repeat good habits like eating healthy most of the time, and over time inevitably you will become healthier. It is the mess ups, the slip ups that we all do that create a danger zone to slipping back into old habits. It's okay to eat that chocolate cake, so long as it is not every day; and so long as you forgive yourself, and stay committed to being the healthiest you, you can be. If you practice eating healthy, clean most of the time; you will become healthier over time. So commit to the long term, and see lasting change for this year, and each year to come. You deserve it! Commit to yourself! Practice healthy habits!

For my own life story, I have been a hairstylist ever since I graduated from high school. My mother passed away from cancer the year I graduated from high school. My life has been a journey. I was 17 years old when she passed away, and I suppose this is the very reason I care so much about health, and sharing my passion of healthy living with other's. I eventually went back to school and obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Victoria. My life has been a journey! It has taken me tremendous commitment, and courage to be where I am today. I once started competing in my early 20's, and finally after obtaining my BSN degree I have been able to come back to competing as a Canadian National Figure athlete. I am grateful to all of my readers, thank you for reading! Part of being courageous, is also something that comes from our support systems outside as well; a workout partner, close friends, family, personal trainers, coaches, idols, fitsporation, etc. Find people that always help you stay on track, that hold you to your commitment to a healthier you, put pictures of yourself up that remind you how far you have come, stay on track! Commit! Be courageous!
